1. What is a custom communications plan?

2. Who writes the plan?

All communications plans are written personally by me, Mark Erwin, APR. I handle everything—from research through final formatting—so you receive a high-quality, customized plan built with care and strategic focus. I bring more than 20 years of experience in public relations, am accredited in public relations (APR) by the Public Relations Society of America, and currently serve as Vice President of PRSA’s National Capital Chapter and previously as Co-Chair of its Accreditation Committee.

 

3. Do I need to give you credit for the plan?
No. The plan is yours to use however you wish. You’re welcome to edit it, adapt it, or present it as your own—it’s designed to serve your organization, not promote mine.

4. Who is this plan for?
This service is ideal for PR professionals, nonprofit teams, founders, and small businesses who need a communications roadmap but don’t have time or in-house expertise to create one.

5. What makes your plans different?
Each plan is built using the PRSA-endorsed RPIE method (Research, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation) and customized based on your goals, audience, and current communications capabilities.

6. How long does it take to receive a plan?
You’ll receive a draft within 7 business days. Final delivery depends on the level of feedback or collaboration requested.

7. Do I need to meet with you or your team?
No meetings are required unless you'd like one. Most clients fill out a short intake form, and I handle the rest. Optional calls are available.

8. Do you execute the plan too?
No, I don’t implement the plan—but I design it so your team (or contractor) can follow it easily. Think of this as a plug-and-play blueprint.

9. What’s included in the plan?
Each plan includes:

  • Recommended tactics

10. How much does a plan cost?
$500. Pricing is transparent and agreed upon before any work begins.

Yes. I offer both organizational-level plans and campaign-specific versions (product launches, fundraising drives, brand repositioning, etc.).
